To show the owner how a logo is made from scratch, a quick & dirty draft for his music label / studio which offers soundtracks and muzak for commercials. Let's take a closer look what & why:

I've used an Art Deco font because these got used in silent movies. Soundtracks have been invented to make movies more dramatic, music was a just replacement for voices and sounds. If there had been talkies from the very beginning, movies would be more like theater. The font goes back to the roots. You see it and you think of silent movies with a piano / organ. Soundtrack.
I made the typography italic because it's more dynamic (service hast to be fast) AND because the record / disc symbol looks more vivid, spatial if it's tilted. And even we have MP3 now, the record / disc is still the symbol for music (recording). And because it's a basic geometric shape, you can recognize the logo in small sizes, too. Even you can't read the text, you know it's PULIDO. And last but not least it works in b/w. Which is most important, because we learn to recognize shapes first, colors are just a bonus. And silent movies have been b/w, too.

The trick is K.I.S.S., keep it simple & stupid. Reduce every information to symbols. Art steps in when you make it unique... this is just a quick & dirty draft, far from being unique! And perfect... can you spot the weak points?
